Buddy of mine from Alabama built this beast, already mentioned it in another thread.  Stock 5.3 save for a very mild cam.  Full weight street legal daily driven truck.  Made 777/1003 on the dyno on 31 psi.  For these passes it was turned down to 12 the first time 16 the second time.  Went 11.7 then 11.3.  Cranked up the boost to 19 for the third run, and it DESTROYED the driveshaft just after the 1/8th.  Judging by the timeslip the 3rd run was going to be deep in the 10s.  He footbreaks off the line to about 5500, and it will build 10 pounds.

Wow...I'm repidly becoming a fan of the boost!!

Do you know what suspension and transmission upgrades he's done?

I really should do this to my 02  stepside when the 4.8 calves...at 350k..that should be soon.

Trans upgrade, its a stock 4l80e with a shift kit and a custom built Circle D torque converter.  Suspension it's 2" drop springs in the rear with just clamps on them, and this was on a way positive pinion angle.  It was 60' 1.6-1.7 like that.  3.73 gears with a Tru-Trac.
