Had a blast! Port was great tooooo hot though my wife got burned to a crisp. Didn't beat my best from last year but managed 4 passes in the 11s best was 11.94. Made it to the final 4 in the Mod bracket and lost by .102 to get into the final the old girl got beat on pretty hard 8 passes at 26lbs last one the temp gauge got up to 195. Was a riot already planning for next year! Hmmm little looser converter........ install my roller cam........ new aluminum rad

Congrats on going some rounds and making it to the final 4 . There is always next year to make it to the winners circle. I wish we could get our local airport to let us do something like that. Chris

How much boost are you launching at? I guess there is no way of driving it around the water and backing into it there.

Looks like your little 6 is working really good. You running street tires or drag radials? Looks like it was a great day for racing too.

I was struggling building boost at the line tried to launch at 2 or 3 lbs but wouldn't spool like it should for a ball bearing turbo and it was lazy getting to full boost. Tires were fine Toyo Proxy TQ Drag radials hit like a train going it second once the turbo was spooled. Look what I found tonight........

Ever heard of the SyTy shuffle? A driving technique the Syclone guys to build boost on the line, like north of 10psi. I wish I could remember exactly how it's done but that would be a nice help

I'm sure it will be better once I fix the header, not only am I losing valuable pressure the 02s will be out to lunch and the ECM will add fuel so it would be running pretty rich.

Is that the drivers side header between cyl 3 & 5? That is where mine was cracked when I hauled my engine out years ago. Had it welded and added a gusset between the two pipes to keep them from flexing. Seems to be holding up so far. My other T has already had the header welded in the same spot. Get it fixed and then improve on your best et. How do you like the Toyo's? Do you run them on the street as well or just the track?

yeah thats the typical spot and they have already been repaired once the crack wraps behind the gusset. I really like the Toyo's the hook better than BFG's and last longer than the Mickey Thompsons, they are a good street tire gets a little dicey in a heavy down pour but I like them.
