What a f**kin' way to end summer.  On my way home from work tonite I stopped at the bank and then the beer store (mmmmm beer) and then had some stupid fuck in a Toyota FJ cruiser decided to run the intersection and turn into me as I am making my way through.  Made a mess of the drivers side of my car, gouged and dented from the front wheel to the rear wheel, so know I need to find a fender, door, 1/4 panel and a mirror for the drivers side.  Buddy in the FJ then starts to bitch at me for driving like an idiot, speeding through an intersection blah, blah, blah.  Told him to go back to his truck before we have to call an ambulance .  Cops showed up and put all the blame on him so all I have to do now is wait for the insurance company to do an estimate.  Here's some damage pics:

So much for hitting one of the biggest local car shows on Sunday.  Stupid people

Hope everyone is having a better weekend then me

I am hoping the insurance company will take care of me on this one.  I'm hoping that it doesn't get wrote off, don't really want a salvage tag on the car.  Gonna do some digging to find some T's for sale and priint the ads off so the insurance adjuster knows what the value is for a car like this.
Thats tragic    I'd be choked.
I am more then choked about it.  Looking at it makes me want to cry, I know how much work is involved to make the car straight again.  Hopefully I can find a new door and 1/4 panel, if not I have a lot of work to do with a stud welder and dent puller.
One good thing about the mishap is I can now paint the car the way I want to.  Gonna try a tri-stage white pearl with flat clear, looks sweet on the new AMG.
I will post back with the info I get from insurance company.

Had an adjuster in to ldo an estimate on my car...$2600 in damages.  Didn't wait to get to go ahead from the insurance company to do the repairs.  I was going to fix the car regardless of what they say.  Took a bit of work to get the crease out to where it didn't need a lot of filler.  Got all the bodywork done on Saturday, primed it Monday, blocked it out and painted it on Tuesday.  Here's some after pics

I am very happy with how it turned out.  It is good and straight, paint matched perfectly and only got a couple specs of dust in the clearcoat.  Gonna wet sand the dust and some orange peel out and polish it back up and it will look like it never happened.

Sure book me a flight and I'll be on my way.  Would be a great vacation, get to paint a Regal and get to see some relatives on the Island.

I just saw this.......... wow that sucks. I would just about die and then when the some bitch started to bark at you wow i'm amazed you didn't beat the piss out of the asshole!!!

It's good you stayed calm. If you did anything to this ass clown, well people like that will call the cops in a heartbeat and have you charged with assault, you know the type.......... total scumbags. They can do no wrong even when they did something wrong, like with your car. Nice to see it getting fixed. That's the best way to get back at this gearbox, get the Buick fixed, back on the road then drive it to his house, then kick the shi............... never mind.

The Regal looks great, glad it was fixable!

Thanks guys.
I did want to give the guy a good crack when he started to blame the accident on me  but I figured it would take twice as long to get the car fixed while I am waiting to go to trial for assult.  Once I heard the cop say that it was the others guy fault 100% I felt alittle better about it, still hurt to look at the car though.  The damage could have been way worse or I could have been hurt.  Sheetmetal can be fixed, the human body not so quick.
It is nice to have it back on the road before the snow flies.  The car is really loving the cold morning air
