i know it's been awhile.....but I was just wondering if you guys could help my 87 S10 which has a 2.5 duke in it....has trouble starting in the cold and i have a block heater in it anyways when i go to start it it just rolls over then i cycle the key once it then back fires through the exhaust and starts to spit and sputter then runs fine.....REALLY FRICKING ANNOYING

carb or injected? Choke problem maybe. When was the last time it got a tune up?

it's throttle body injected i just put new plugs wires rotor cap in the end of summer like 3 months ago my uncle said could be a short in the coil
