Here is the 86 Buick T type that I just saved from being turned into a stock car.  It is a complete car with some goodies on it.  I'm gonna rob the parts off of this one for my white one.  I am thinking about what I might do with the running gear, thinking small and light     Car has a complete Hotchkis rear suspension, with air shocks and air bags in the springs, it also has a massive rear sway bar under it.   Not sure what else is done, the previous owner didn't have a clue about this car, said he bought it that way and then just parked it.

I never thought of a Chevette.  That would be quite a hybrid.  I like it.  I was thinking of putting it in an s10 frame with an old 88-89-90 Z24 body on it.  Something different and no one around here would expect the rear tires to turn.  Keep it as stock appearing as possible, with the exception of bigger rims and tires.

The Chevette sounds like a good car to do, build a set of mounts, cut the rear end down, swap harness and have fun.   hmmmm

After the malibu is finished, a turbo 6 in a chevette will be my next project.

we did that exact swap as my High School Shop Project.  Couldn't get the turbo sorted out before graduation but it still went like snot with the V6 in it.

We ended up cutting the car up so they could use it for the body shop classes and the engine went on to a stand to be taken apart in shop class.
