I'm trying, went to buy a new carb, and it turns out Holley filed for chapter 11 and it'll be November before they start shipping product again  Gonna try an Edelbrock AVS so it's alive and running, moving and stopping under it's own power, then new fenders floors and a rocker panel and new tires.  But I'm sure I'll find some more little thing that I want to change or fix, working 6 days a week sucks.

There is nothing wrong with a Edelbrock Thunderseries.

I was after the Street Avenger 770, then I wanted to try out a Demon 750 and cancelled that real quick after some light reading, so then my Dad says to me "Why not a Carter? Had one on my Camaro and it worked great" so that's how I ended up with the Edelbrock idea.

What was wrong with the Demon...I thought Barry Grant made a good/decent product. I along with many others I`m sure have a Rochester you can try.

You couldn't even pay me enough to use one of those carter/ edelbrock pieces of junk.

There having huge quality control problems and don't really seem to be doing anything about it, shavings filling the passages, screws cross threaded, butterflies sticking in the throttle bores etc.  Plus I've heard there an absolute pain in the dick to setup and won't hold a tune for shit.  I'm lazy I want to set it up and go and be good for the season, if I had the money I'd go EFI

Wow....never heard that before. It's going to be hard to bounce back from that kind of reputation.
