I went to Performance Knuckleheads in Brampton and they will only sell me a $ 200.00 set.  I explained that I need 1 hardened Comp Cams 5/16" Pushrod with the mushroom end ( to match the other 15 ). 

Any ideas ??

Try Brant Performance. I have more goodies to pick up there this week. If they have what you need I could grab it for you and bring it to Mississauga.

A lot of shops used to sell single push rods, lifters and rockers.
Not really sure who does anymore though.

Actually just heard back at lunch.  I called the guy I bought the motor from and he called, ordered, and paid for one from Performance Knuckleheads on the Queensway in TO over the phone.  $ 16.75 and it should be in by Friday.  I wonder why the guy from the Brampton store gave me the cold shoulder,  it's not like he was busy as he was just sitting behind the counter reading his newspaper ??? 

Thx again for the offer,  very generous of you but I'll see friday if he ordered the right one.

Now to get off my ass and bring the trans in to be re-built so I can have a car to drive this summer

Im sure the same guy doesn't work there but I had the same problems at Performance Improvements in Brampton. He didnt seem to care less if I bought anything, wouldn't offer any information on a product unless I asked a specific question. I don't expect any retailer to kiss my ass but least act like I have one. Because of that I drive to Brantford and spend my money at Brant Performance. Their prices are good and I get a kick out of the chaos that goes on there.

yup, same attitude I got there,  I work with customers all day and I know it can be tiring but if you are even a little helpful it makes the job much easier.  I actually bought my crappy chrome aircleaner there last summer and thought maybe the guy was having a bad day but I guess that's just the way they are at that location ?!?
